  The final research report meeting of our high school was held in Himegin Hall.  Students showed their posters and made presentations in relation to “Development of internationality”, “Challenge research of general course”, and “challenge research of science course”, which they have worked on for a year.  They reported attractions, feature and results of SSH project.  Saijo HS and Uwajima Higashi HS, which are also Super Science High Schools in Ehime, gave their presentations.  We could understand the contents of research each other and could interact through asking questions and answering them.

  Students of our high school and Uwajima Higashi HS joined the final research report meeting of Saijo High School on March 13th.  It was organized by Saijo High School, one of the super science high schools, in Saijo-city sogobunkakaikan hall.  “Fossil” group, “Droplets of Water” group, and “photosynthesis” group joined it from our high school.  They made poster presentations.  “Fossil” group introduced their research to the audience on the stage.   The 17th Scientific paper award ceremony was held at Kanagawa University, in Yokohama city, Kanagawa Prefecture.  This time, 153 papers were applied from all over Japan and it was larger number than ever before.  One of them was chosen as the first prize, four were outstanding prizes, and 25 were excellence.  “Solar system” group won the outstanding prize and “Lactic Acid Bacteria” group won the excellent prize.  In addition, we won the prize for excellent academic achievement.  “Solar system” group was given the chance that they could give a presentation for ten minutes.  They reported their research in front of many professors and high school students.

  “Biology group”, the first-year students of science course, gave poster presentation in Shikoku branch contest, the first academic conference of biological education in Japan.  It was held in faculty of Education, Ehime University.  They made their academic conference debut and received the award. They showed their results of research and received the expert advice.  They could find their future subjects to be solved next year.  They’ll do their best at the final research report meeting which is held on March 14th.
