8th period on Wednesday, October 21th, first year students who belong to the Science and Mathematics course conducted a TT-style class. They were taught by Mr. Masuda and Mr. Kubo who are Ehime University students for the Science and Mathematics Education Support Program.
The topic was Ethyl acetate hydrolysis reaction”, we conducted preparatory experiments for the main experiment next week. Because of the corona virus we had no chance to experiment for a long time, so we took it seriously.
Relying on a slight change of the smell, we experienced a mechanism of hydrolysis reaction. The teacher was impressed with the students who expressed the reaction of the experiment with their own words.
The main experiment is going to be conducted next week. We experienced the application of chemical power and we want to be more and more interested in chemistry.    ( 109HR  Takuto Doi)

“Let’s get together!Science Girls”

2020年9月20日 06時49分

Saturday, August 29th “Let’s get together!Science Girls”the 3rd Science-related Girls’ Web Conference in Shikoku was held.  This year, we used Zoom for the online presentation.  Eight girls in four groups from our second-year science and mathematics students from our school, presented their research on newts, interference light, vitamin C and blue glaze light.  Seishin Girls’ High School in Okayama played host to six schools, Ehime University High School, Niihama National College of Technology, and Uwajima-Higashi High School.  Each school gave research presentations.  It was a great opportunity to receive precise advice from the university professors from the perspective of a researcher. It was also a great motivator for us to prepare for the presentation at the Koubun Festival in November.

We were able to present to each other and deepen our thinking about our research.  In the presentation, I was able to find ways to improve with the advice of the university professors.  I would like to put more effort into my research.
