2020/12/17 Advanced Science

2020年12月29日 07時08分

On December 15th and 16th, the 1st grade students from science course visited many places as the advanced science lecture.  They went to advanced laboratory to attend technical lectures.  We showed the eagerness about our research.
On the first day, we visited Ehime fisheries experimental station and Ehime mandarin experimental station in Uwajima.  We learned the issues about agriculture and fisheries.  After that, we attended the lecture about earthquakes and medical treatment.
On the second day, we visited a science museum to learn how to wrestle SSH program.  And we attended the lecture about Masataka Ogawa, who invented blue LEDs.  We were all interested in his story.  After that, we went to the paper laboratory.  They used very expensive machine.
Through the advanced science lecture, we learned about the research to solve local issues.  And we learned the hardship that people working there had.  The most important thing that we learned is “Added Value”.  It is important for regions to survive in the world.  We have to find my own “Added Value”.  We should challenge many things.

2020/12/14 SDGs

2020年12月28日 17時28分

On Saturday, December 12th, the second meeting of the title was held online.  From our school, 16 students and 3 teachers joined it.  Two students from Iyo agricultural High School joined it.
This project consists of three series. This is the second time.  First, we announced the previous issue, ”SDGs ― A poster with many words”.  After that, we were divided into groups.  One group thought about plastic waste and the other group thought about local production for local consumption, and exchanged opinions.  We thought carefully about the theme and we commented on what high school students can do.  In the third time, we will announce what each group has studied.  This time, we used an app: thinking tool called “miro” and information shared online (Please look at the photo) .
I was glad to join the meeting because I could learn about the different perspectives and ways of thinking of college students and other high school students.  I want to acquire a lot of ideas while responding to new learning styles.

2020/12/12 DATA SCIENCE

2020年12月28日 17時24分

At data scienceⅠclass in our school, all of the first grade students in general course are working on the presentations using REASAS.  This year, our school is selected as “Area research practice school”.  In this program, we find the problems in local areas and then solve them.  The representatives of the first graders made a research presentation “Agriculture normalization by the promotion of the water culture” as a summary of their research.
Through this presentation, I learned about the importance and difficulty of thinking and talking on the spot.  From now on I want to join such presentations positively for my future.

2020/11/14 High School Cultural Festival

2020年12月18日 17時23分

From our school, four physics groups, two chemistry groups, two biology groups and one geoscience group, a total of nine groups took part in a competition.  In the elimination round, each of us had eight minutes for a poster presentation that put questions and answers together.  We did this three times.  The Tobeyaki Ginnans group in the field of chemistry and the thermoacoustic group in the field of physics passed the elimination round and advanced to the final.  In the final presentation, there were questions and answers with high school students from other schools.  They participated actively and it became a successful competition for the presenters and participants.
As a result, the Tobeyaki Ginnans group won the award for an excellent work and will participate in the national tournament in Wakayama prefecture next year.
Unfortunately, the thermoacoustic group missed the national tournament, but they got a participation award.
Though it was the first time for many students to participate in the competition, we could publish with a dignified manner.  We will do our best as we use the experience of this competition for our researches and presentations from now on.
