“Tobitate!” Leap for Tomorrow, Young Ambassador Program ~ Report ⑦ ~
2019年10月7日 07時39分 About two weeks in Dr. Mani’s lab, I was able to conduct a series of experiments starting with the creation of molecules and measuring the emission and absorption. I used NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) to confirm whether what we wanted to make was really made or not. With the students in his lab, I did TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) and Column Chromatography (Column Chromatography). I also used a new laboratory instrument to remove the material in the flask. The instrument was much more efficient than a micro spatula.
On the last weekend, Mr. Sakurai took me to various places. On weekends, there is a small market in each district. So, I went to Peach Market. Unlike the name, there was not much peach. After that, I met the family and went to see the boat competition. I went to a Thai restaurant for the last dinner. The way of serving rice was very interesting and very delicious.
