about Matsuyama Minami High School

Ehime Prefectural Matsuyama Minami High School has been designated as a Super Science High School (SSH) by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology since 2002. We have been researching and developing programs for science education in cooperation with universities and research institutes. We try to bring fascinating and inspiring science activities not only to our students but also to the local community. Each of our students does a great deal of individual research, and because of their strenuous effort, they have won prizes in various kinds of science fairs.

February 14th the 23rd SS Challenge Research Presentation

2019年2月15日 15時48分

We had the 23rd SS of this year today.  We gave presentations of Challenge Research.  All groups of second-year science course students gave presentations.  They told research results by using slides.  It enabled the audience to understand our research easily.  Questions and answers were actively asked and achievements of this year were shown in various scenes.  Students evaluated each other by using rubric.  The audience were required their abilities of asking questions. After presentations, we received the advice from our vice-principal.  He said that we had three tasks; the first point is to figure out ways to have listeners get interest in research, the second is to devise how to deliver the contents in an easy way and the third point is to deliver logically and gradually to make the content more persuasive.  We still have a little time until the final Research Results Meeting of this year is held.  We will do our best.    (Jane Doe)
