Winner of the Best Presentation Award at the AABE2024 Conference (29th Asian Association of Biological Education Biennial Conference)

2024年10月14日 19時00分

AABE2024 was held at Ehime University and three teams from our school participated.  A poster session was held for junior and senior high school students from a total of 20 schools, with researchers from Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, India, and other Asian countries participating.  Among them, the Butterfly team won the “Best Presentation Award". Since there was no script for the Q&A session, the students had to frantically answer questions from foreigners in English.  We would like to continue to work hard on our research so that we can make a big leap forward with the small confidence we gained here.  The Butterfly team is also scheduled to present their research together with Thai high school students at the “International Collaborative Research Fair 2025” (hosted by Ritsumeikan High School) to be held online in January next year.

Date: Sunday, October 14, 2024

Venue: Ehime University, Faculty of Education

Participating groups:

Butterfly Team “Best Presentation Award”

The relationship between butterfly flight and physical characteristics

Dugesia japonica Team

Regeneration process and survival rate of the Dugesia japonica from head fragments

SHIN-GS

Awareness Activities on the Ecology and Conservation of Otters in Japan

I was nervous about giving the presentation in English, and the Q&A session was also difficult. However, this experience motivated me to improve my English. In the future, I would like to do my best to speak and answer questions in English with more confidence.
