“Connect our relationship!  Biodiversity: High School Students’ Challenge”
On August 3rd and 4th, “Connect our relationship!  Biodiversity: High School Students’ Challenge” was held by Ehime Prefecture.  Two students, who are the members of the biology club, made a presentation, “Variety of butterflies in the local forest –theoretical value and actual value-”   They got the prefectural governor award (the highest award).  Members of the biology club go to Hojo Town and research butterflies there every month.  Their steady effort was awarded.   They would like to continue their research in the future.
In the field work 20 students from 8 high schools including our school conducted the biological survey in the forest of Kazahaya area.  Students did their research after receiving the guidance from Mr. Matsui Hiromitsu, the representative of the nonprofit organization, “Mori kaea tsuzuku michi.”  They did the workshop titled “How to Preserve the Local Biodiversity.”
Our school student, Hanaoka Ryunosuke acted actively and announced the summary in the workshop.
