about Matsuyama Minami High School

Ehime Prefectural Matsuyama Minami High School has been designated as a Super Science High School (SSH) by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology since 2002. We have been researching and developing programs for science education in cooperation with universities and research institutes. We try to bring fascinating and inspiring science activities not only to our students but also to the local community. Each of our students does a great deal of individual research, and because of their strenuous effort, they have won prizes in various kinds of science fairs.

July 11th (Thu) SS Exchange Meeting

2019年7月26日 17時49分

On Thursday, July 11th, science course students held “SS exchange meeting.”  This event disseminates the current achievements of the second grader’s research.  They interacted in the form of cross-grade exchange so that first graders could have images of their own goals.  The purpose of this event is that senior students advise first graders to study and research questions efficiently.
In the 5th period, second graders gave the presentation on their school trip (Science Exchange Workshop in Taiwan).  They told first graders how to learn English, spend time in Taiwan and so on.
In the 6th period, second graders gave poster presentations on research questions.  The first and third graders observed it and then opinions were exchanged actively, mainly by third graders.  In addition, they received specialized advice from teachers of SSH steering and guiding committee.  They will put the advice to good use and make their future research better.                     (John Does     206HR)
